Dr. Ben Sandifer

Dr. Sandifer is a dedicated pediatrician originally from Upstate South Carolina. He earned a BA in Biological Sciences from Clemson University before attending medical school at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. Following medical school, he completed his pediatrics residency at the Virginia Commonwealth University Health System in Richmond, Virginia.

For the past two years, Dr. Sandifer practiced at Southeast Georgia Health Center in the St. Simons office. Now residing in Brunswick, he is committed to improving the health of children in Glynn County and takes pride in using evidence-based medicine to guide his practice.

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Sandifer cherishes time with his beautiful wife, Brenne, and their son, Fisher, along with their dog, Sullivan. He enjoys outdoor activities such as golfing, fishing, and traveling with his family.

John Fisher, MSN, FNP-C

John Fisher was born and raised in South Carolina. He earned his first bachelor’s degree in Biology from the College of Charleston before following his passion for helping others into the field of nursing. He went on to complete a second bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Francis Marion University (FMU).

After several years serving his community in South Carolina, John returned to FMU to further his education, earning a master’s degree in Family Nursing Practice. While completing his master’s program, he also achieved a Post-Master’s Certification in Nursing Education.

John’s professional experience spans several well-regarded hospital systems, including McLeod Health in South Carolina, Charleston Area Medical Center in West Virginia, Savannah Memorial in Georgia, and, most recently, Yale–New Haven Health in Connecticut.

Outside of work, John enjoys spending time with family and friends, getting lost in a good book, and the occasional fishing trip. He is excited to bring his expertise and passion for patient care to the local community.

Elizabeth “Liz” Smiley – Practice Manager

Elizabeth brings nearly 20 years of healthcare experience to her role as Practice Manager at KidMed, with extensive work in both pediatrics and obstetrics/gynecology. Born and raised in Brunswick, GA, she is proud to serve the community she calls home. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Business with a minor in Psychology from Troy University, blending her knowledge of organization and human behavior to foster a welcoming and efficient environment for both patients and staff.

With a strong background in practice operations, patient relations, and team leadership, Elizabeth is dedicated to building efficient systems that support providers while ensuring every family receives exceptional care. She is passionate about supporting families, strengthening community connections, and helping KidMed grow as a trusted part of the area.

Outside of work, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with her husband, Jason, their two daughters, Ansley and Kamryn, and their playful puppy, Willard. She loves to travel, and her favorite tradition is visiting the mountains of Tennessee with her family each year.
